JONATHAN vs INDURAIN

I thought is was very tough this year and the final 50 km to the finish didn't suit me at all.

I was pretty happy with my time (7.50) but was on for sub 7.30 at the top of the Bagargui (was headed down the Burdincurutcheta in around 5 hours), but ended up in no man's land on the rolling hills as I lost contact with a very fast peloton and struggled on alone instead of waiting for another one. I'm just not built for riding into a headwind!

I did indeed see Miguel Indurain and it made my day to pass him on the Cote de Larrau although he climbed off at the top. Certainly made my day ..... He was riding a beautiful Pinarello Dogma magnesium frame that was a gold colour with Campagnolo kit.
