2004 COLS
In addition to being long – 238Km – the 2004 Etape du Tour course features nine difficult climbs, with an estimated 3000 - 4000 meters of climbing!
The major climbs are as follows:
Col de Lestards : 856 meters, the climb being 7km of 4.7%
Col de Neronne : 1442 meters, 8.3 km at 3.5%
Peyrol (Puy Mary) : 1589 meters, 5.5 km of 8%
Plomb de Cantal : 1392 meters, 8.2 km of 6%
In addition there are a number of minor climbs! Here are the altitudes of the cols above sea level:
Mont Gargan : 573 meters
Col de Saint Yrieix : 750 meters
Cote de Soursac : 532 meters
Cote de Montplaisir : 588 meters
Cote de Egremont : 1210 meters
