2005 ETAPE – THE ROUTE!

The 2005 Etape du Tour is a classic mountain Etape.

The course starts at Mourenx, not far from Pau in the Western Pyrenees. Initially heading South, after scaling Col d’Ichere, it tackles the tough climb through pine forests to Col de Marie Blanque.

The next classic climb is Col d’Aubisque, with its extensive mountain views.

Finally, the road climbs a spectacular Corniche to the top of Col de Soulor, before starting the long descent to Pau, with just a few minor hills to test your muscles along the way!
