Ride a Stage of the Tour of Portugal!

 

Ride a stage of the Volta a Portugal, then watch the professionals tackle the same stage the next day!

The stage is in the Duoro region (see the photo above!).

 

We are planning to take a party of around 20 people on this challenging ride, accompanied by a band of local riders. A bit of competition is definitely not out of the question! The stage is 196.8 km long ending on the cat 1 climb Sra de Graça, a strikingly conical mountain 1000 meters in altitude! 

 

On Friday 12^th August we will ride the stage of the Volta. A support vehicle with energy drinks, fruit and mechanical assistance will be in attendance.

 

On Saturday you be able watch the professionals tackle the same course!

If you prefer, you will be free to ride independently on a route of your choice, using the maps and cue sheets provided.

 

 

The Hotel

 

 

The 3 star Hotel we will be using is set among the vineyards, with a swimming pool, nice grounds and a great restaurant. Breakfast and three course dinners (with wine) are be included, as is pick-up and drop-off from Porto airport and a cycling guide of the area. The price of flights is not included.

 The accommodation is from Thursday 11^th August to Saturday 13^th August. The price of the holiday is £240. Non riders are very welcome at the reduced price of £170. Single room occupancy surcharge is only £8 Euros/night extra. The hotel is situated near Vila Real in Northern Portugal.
